Methods : This research is a second-year follow-up research with a quantitative approach (quasi-experimental method). After compiling a proposed model and getting input from several expert teams, this model will be tested in small groups in two schools, with a total of 44 people each in the group (intervention and control).
Results: the most respondents were female 51 people (58%), the most parental education was in the middle category 40 people (45.5%), the most information sources were 2 sources of information 35 people (39.8%), family income was balanced 44 people (50%), the most teenagers lived with their parents 73 people (83%), the most social relationships in the positive category were 73 people (83%), the most social relationships in the positive category were 73 people (83%), and the most VCT behavior was positive 52 people (59.1%). There was a significant relationship between the GEMALIDS adolescent empowerment model and VCT behavior in adolescents, with a p value of 0.000.
Conclusion: Community empowerment by involving adolescents in the form of the HIV-AIDS Care Youth Movement (GEMALIDS) has a significant effect on increasing the positive behavior of adolescents to do VCT, as can be seen from the p value of 0.000 and OR 10.219 (adolescents who are assisted will do VCT 10.219 times compared to the group that does not receive assistance)
