Politeknik Kesehatan Kemenkes Palangka Raya is a State Health Education Institution in Central Kalimantan Province under the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia. As an educational institution, Poltekkes Kemenkes Palangka Raya carries the mandate to improve community health through education in various health disciplines. This is in line with its vision: “To become a Health Polytechnic based on Local Wisdom that is Leading, Independent, Innovative, and Global by 2030.”

Its mission includes implementing modern management functions in institutional governance based on local wisdom with a focus on customer satisfaction and independence; organizing higher education’s Tri Dharma (education, research, and community service) with excellence, professionalism, and innovation supported by an entrepreneurial spirit in the development of science and technology in the health sector; as well as building and strengthening collaborations and networks with the government and private sector at regional, national, and international levels on the basis of equality, mutual respect, and mutual benefit.

Poltekkes Kemenkes Palangka Raya (Polkesraya) is also committed to developing its Centers of Excellence, which are expected to contribute significantly to health development in Indonesia, particularly in Central Kalimantan Province. One of the flagship activities carried out annually by Polkesraya’s Centers of Excellence is the Polkesraya International Conference (PIC).

The theme of PIC 2025 is “Nutrition, Lifestyle, and Technology: Integrated Approaches to Brain Health.” This theme was chosen because brain health has been designated as one of the Centers of Excellence of Poltekkes Palangka Raya. The urgency of organizing the 2025 PIC under this theme reflects Poltekkes Kemenkes Palangka Raya’s commitment to developing its educational centers of excellence aligned with the national priorities of the Ministry of Health.

The objectives of the Polkesraya International Conference (PIC) 2025 are :

• To broaden insights and enhance participants’ competencies regarding health issues, particularly brain health and the role of technology in healthcare.
• To explore the role of nutrition, lifestyle, and technology in maintaining lifelong brain health.
• To foster cross-disciplinary collaboration among health professionals, researchers, and policymakers.
• To highlight the latest innovations and practices in the prevention and management of brain health issues.
• To provide a platform for sharing knowledge and experiences among participants from various countries.
• To strengthen the roles of midwifery, nursing, nutrition, and public health in promoting brain health.
