Abstract
Purpose: This study aimed to assess the impact of balanced nutrition education through video media on the knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women regarding stunting prevention in the Menteng Community Health Center area.
Methodology: A quasi-experimental design with a one-group pre-test and post-test setup was used, involving 33 pregnant women selected through purposive sampling.. Data were analyzed using the McNemar test. The participants ranged in age from 20 to 37 years; 66% had higher education, and 63% were unemployed.
Findings: Results indicated that video-based counseling significantly improved knowledge (p = 0.000) and attitudes (p = 0.021) regarding balanced nutrition. These findings suggest that video media is an effective method for enhancing knowledge and attitudes toward stunting prevention among pregnant women in the Menteng Community Health Center area.
Limitation: This study lacks a control group, limiting the ability to compare the effectiveness of video-based counseling with other methods. Additionally, the short-term evaluation does not assess the long-term retention of knowledge and attitude changes.
Contribution: This study provides evidence that video-based counseling effectively improves pregnant women’s knowledge and attitudes toward balanced nutrition. The findings support theuse of digital media in health education and offer practical recommendations for integrating video-based interventions in maternal nutrition programs.
