Abstract
Purpose: To determined the effect of deep breathing relaxation and visualization on the level of anxiety in pregnant women in the third trimester.
Methodology: This research design used pre-experiment with pretest-posttest design.The population in this study were pregnant women in the third trimester in the Sangkrah Health Center Working Area. Measurement of anxiety levels using the PASS questionnaire. Data was processing using Wilcoxon Test.
Findings: Deep breathing relaxation and visualization were effective at reducing anxiety in pregnant women in the third trimester with p-value=0,001 (p<0,05).
Limitation: This research was not conducted in a special therapy room so that a homogenous atmosphere was not created for each respondent.
Contribution: This research was conducted at Sangkrah Health Center Working Area and this research was very useful to provide therapy for reducing the anxiety of pregnant women.
