Abstract
Purpose: It is hoped to stimulate the public and the government’s concern regarding the disparity of knowledge about hypertension and non-communicable diseases. Developments in public health status can be identified by means of annual screening as a preventive effort against the risk of non-communicable diseases.
Methodology: The method for implementing this activity is coordination of activities and direct practice with health checks, namely blood pressure, blood sugar, and uric acid. During the review, provide officers feedback.
Findings: Examination results show that female’s blood sugar is higher than male’s. Only a small number of 75 participants had blood pressure, blood sugar, and uric acid levels that exceeded normal limits.
Limitation: Not all residents are willing to conduct a thorough examination because they are not familiar with this type of examination. The execution of this examination process is impeded by financial constraints, thus preventing the undertaking of more advanced examinations at this time. The type of examination is also only for monitoring purposes, further blood examining is needed to diagnose the diseases.
Contribution: This examination achieved preventive efforts against the risk of noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) in the Pahandut subdistrict area with direct health checks carried out including checking blood pressure, blood sugar levels and uric acid.
