Purpose: The study was conducted to determine the level of public knowledge about hypertension and is expected to stimulate public awareness of the risks of hypertension.
Methodology: Respondents were 50 Tumbang Tahai residents and they completed questionnaires during May 2023. The questionnaire used in this study was the Hypertension Knowledge-Level Scale (HK-LS).
Findings: The results were obtained based on research conducted on 50 respondents. The respondents’ characteristics were dominated by females, and aged 46-55 years. Of the 50 respondents, 78% had a low level of knowledge and 22% had a high level of knowledge.
