Seeing the complexity of the issue of gender equality, it is considered important for a country to form a mindset and increase education and awareness for teenagers regarding the issue of gender equality. However, very little research has been conducted on this issue. Therefore, it is important to know whether there are differences in the level of knowledge, attitudes and behavior of adolescents regarding gender equality based on rural and urban areas.
Methodology : The research method used in this research was the Mann Whitney U Test. The research was carried out in 2 locations, namely at the Antang Bajenta Youth Posyandu, Palangka Raya City (Urban) and SMAN 2 Kuala Kapuas, Kapuas Regency (Rural).
Findings : The result showed that there is a difference in knowledge scores of 0.59 And the p value = 0.022 < 0.05. Difference in knowledge scores of 1.47. And the p value = 0.000 < 0.05. And also there is a difference in knowledge scores of 0,83 with p value = 0.040 < 0.05. This means that there is a significant difference between the knowledge, attitudes and practice scores about gender equality of teenagers in rural and urban areas.
Limitations : The limitation of this study is that it is necessary to develop a more relevant variable questionnaire when used in Indonesia. Meanwhile, for further research, it can be investigated related to interventions that can be used to improve KAP about Gender Inequality in adolescents.
